istanbul for vegetarians

Vegetarians should be OK in most food places since you will find salads and olive oil based vegetable dishes almost anywhere that you end up. A lot of tapas are made only out of vegatables, so taverns should not be a problem either. That said, restaurants catering solely to vegetarians and vegans are somewhat thin on the ground in Istanbul - probably due to the fact that, as said, a regular cafe or restaurant will have enough on their menu to keep all but the most exacting happy.

The following is a list which I compiled online. Not being a vegatarian myself, I cannot personally recommend them - only exception being Zencefil, which is very nice indeed:
